Introduction

This Clinic is South Africa’s leading fully registered residential addiction recovery centre, where individuals can find the professional help they need to change their lives forever.

Surrounded by mountains and sea and situated on the unspoilt Cape Peninsula Coast, the Clinic is a place of healing and compassion, where those suffering from a range of different addictions and mental health related issues can find a safe and private haven to explore the truth about their lives and consider new possibilities for a life of recovery.

Our multi disciplinary team is comprised of some of the most experienced and caring professionals in South Africa who work cooperatively to the best interest of each patient at each stage of treatment.

The intensive treatment is specifically designed for each individual as a truly holistic programme that recognizes that humans exist as mind, body, emotions and spirit. Incorporating the abstinence based 12-step programme along with the best evidence based therapeutic models we seek to treat each person as a complex and unique being who is ever changing.

• Each client works directly with their own individual counsellor and has a treatment plan tailored to their own specific needs.

• Unique and integrated continuing care programme. This includes the option of primary, secondary, and tertiary care to ensure that all clients not only achieve sobriety, but also make the transition to a balanced and healthy recovery lifestyle.

Programme overview

The Clinic recognizes that recovering individuals need different care and interventions at the various stages of their recovery process. This approach ensures the individual needs of clients are catered for.

The programme includes:

Individual counselling – Each member of the clinical team has many years of professional training.

Daily group therapy – Group therapy is a powerful way of learning and about oneself through identification and relationship with one’s peers

12 step work and meetings – The Clinic believes that building a social network of support is invaluable to the process of recovery

Family programme –The Clinic offers counselling and support to the affected throughout each stage of treatment.

Alternative therapies – The Clinic believes that clients can learn to achieve and live a healthy recovery lifestyle when they have exposure to a range of holistic therapies such as art therapy, permaculture, yoga, and surfing.

Facilities and accommodation

• Primary care is provided in a double storey thatched cape homestead set in 10 acres and surrounded by mountains and fynbos with uninterrupted views of the sea. There are 22 beds available in semi private rooms with en suite bathrooms.
• The secondary house is a charming double storey thatch house with wooden floors and a warm, sunny ambience. Tucked away on a large property in the cape fynbos, it has a sauna, a swimming pool and is surrounded by a panoramic view of the mountains and sea. There are 14 beds available in comfortable semi private bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.
• Set in a leafy suburb in Cape Town, the continuing care tertiary facility is a gracious double-storey Victorian House that can accommodate 16 residents in comfortable semi-private rooms. The house has easy access to public transport, shops and other facilities.
