Residential Rehab Centre Hampshire A1
Introduction
The rehab centre is located an hour from London and provides detoxification along with both primary and secondary treatment programmes in a supportive, caring environment.
Based in a newly refurbished Victorian building, the Clinic is a 36 bedded residential rehabilitation unit that uses separate private houses to accommodate its clients. All of the houses have staff cover, providing 24 hour care for everyone that chooses to stay with us.
Using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), the Clinic can offer both twelve-week and intensive six-week programmes that enable our clients to receive treatment for addictions that is both effective and long-lasting. Each client will benefit from an assigned counsellor and keyworker throughout their stay, as well as complementary therapies such as yoga, Tai Chi and auricular acupuncture.

What makes this residential clinic special?
Treatment Approach
The rehab centre uses the ADAPTS© cognitive behaviour therapy programme linked to the highly effective ThinkingCap© relapse prevention programme to ensure that all of our clients both start their recovery using a highly effective treatment programme and, as importantly, leave the Clinic with the necessary tools to maintain that recovery after they leave. The ADAPTS© programme enables clients to talk about and face their addiction through their thoughts, feelings and behaviour whilst addressing the cause of their addiction which may often be a traumatic event in their life.
Treatment Programme
With the ADAPTS© cognitive behaviour and ThinkingCap© relapse prevention at the heart of the treatment programme, the Clinic offers the following therapies as part of each client’s individual care programme:
• Group Therapy
• Individual Counselling with an assigned counsellor
• ADAPTS© cognitive behaviour therapy programme
• ThinkingCap© relapse prevention programme
• Art therapy
• Yoga
• Tai Chi
• Auricular Acupuncture

Programme Overview
The Clinic uses a holistic approach to the treatment of each individual’s addiction building an individual care plan that addresses the needs of the whole person. As part of the treatment programme, each client will gain the necessary knowledge to face the cause or causes of their addiction and the necessary skills with which to overcome the addiction and ensure that they do not relapse. Using the modular ADAPTS© cognitive behaviour therapy programme means that for a lot of clients the intensive six-week programme gives clients the strength and skills to overcome their addiction and be strong enough to maintain this position after they leave treatment. Topics covered on the programme include:
• Causes of addiction
• Thoughts, feelings and
behavioural consequences
• Problem solving skills
• Goal setting
• Critical life events
• Relationships
• Responsible decision making
• The cycle of substance misuse
• Life stories
• Health awareness
• Living skills
• Relapse prevention and coping strategies
Secondary treatment is based on an Education Training and Employment (ETE) model where clients learn new skills in conjunction with local Colleges.
Facilities and accommodation
The rehab centre offers treatment in a newly refurbished Victorian building giving Group rooms, individual counselling rooms and a large, comfortable client lounge. There are separate facilities for those clients on secondary treatment including computer workstations.
All living accommodation is in separate community houses that offer private bedrooms and shared living spaces. In keeping with the holistic aims of the Clinic, these houses offer clients the opportunity to live in a community and to maintain the treatment approach in the evenings. All clients are expected to share in the running of the house and to share the cooking and cleaning responsibilities. All houses have 24 hour staff availability.
