Introduction

This rehab clinic is a Grade 2 listed building that has been extensively restored and is set in 3 acres of landscaped grounds approximately 1 mile outside a town centre. We offer inpatient and day patient care, with a specialised nursing and therapy team treating a wide variety of mental health problems as well as addictions.

Addictions are now increasingly common and can affect all of us in some way. Making the decision to seek treatment can be one of the hardest you have to make, not only on a personal level, but also with the competing demands of family, work and daily routine. This is why the Clinic offers a flexible range of programmes to treat both substance and behavioural addictions, designed to meet individuals’ needs and lifestyles.

The addiction programme is Consultant led and provides intensive treatment, education and support designed to help individuals face the reality of their dependency and promote the restoration of physical and emotional health. The programmes aim to minimise the psychological and physical distress of withdrawal by establishing abstinence in a safe and supportive environment.

Programme Overview

The programmes are based on the 12-step abstinence model and provide treatment for a wide range of substance and behavioural dependencies including alcohol, drugs, gambling, shopping, sex, food (eating disorders), computer use etc. They are also available to treat the more complex and increasingly common conditions such as poly-addictions or dual diagnosis.

We also offer a Detox-Plus programme which offers a 7-14 day intervention consisting of a drug and alcohol detoxification regime plus a tailored and flexible duration therapeutic intervention to address the immediate withdrawal needs, and to provide the patient with the basic awareness and tools to cope with and maintain a new lifestyle.

Facilities and accommodation

The rehab clinic has 43 inpatient bedrooms, all with individual, en-suite facilities including TV/DVD and telephone, set within extensive landscaped grounds. Ward lounges are available for relaxation and there are two patient dining rooms . Meals are provided by our team of chefs and cater for all dietary requirements.

There is no gym on site but exercise in encouraged and facilities are available locally – ice rink, swimming pool gym etc. Yoga and relaxation groups are run on site.

All group activities take place off the wards in a designated group room, with our team of specialist counsellors.
