This clinic is a specialist alcohol and drug detoxification and rehabilitation facility, situated in a modern, purpose built centre. The unit has an exceptional nursing staff and level of expertise in detoxification. The unit has individual, en-suite rooms for clients and there is access to a range of facilities for both therapeutic and leisure activities. The unit works on the premise that anyone with a drug or alcohol problem is capable of achieving change, with support and in the right setting. Clients referred into the unit stay between one and four weeks, dependent upon the nature of their drug/alcohol use. Once detoxification is completed, clients may return home or move into the rehabilitation facility. All rehabilitation clients work with a key worker to develop their own care plan, identifying areas they want to address and change. The rehabilitation programme lasts for twelve weeks. Clients may remain at the unit for longer periods, to enable them to address longer-term problems, if they so wish.
