Treatment centres urged to open doors during Misuse and Addictions Week
The Unity Group, a membership body for the drug treatment services industry, is calling on alcohol and drug treatment providers to let their local communities know about their services and help create stronger links. Now in its second year, the scheme is organised by the multi-appraoach Unity Group of treatment agencies.
If members would like to take part in the initiative, which is supported by the Home Office, then simply arrange an open day for the week 23-30 June and briefly register it on the Unity Group's website.
Following registration all events will feature on the website and on the online newspaper Addiction Today. Participants will also receive a list of local media contacts to help promote their open day and encourage visitors through their doors to find out more about their services and activities.
