Dr Trathen has many years’ experience working in the addictions field both privately and in the NHS. Dr Trathen has done a lot of scientific work, published academic papers, contributed to medical journals and authored several books, which are available free of charge from this website. David Goodlad, MA FRSPH, NCAC ICADC SASSI, Registered Member MBACP (Snr Accred) Chief Executive
David Goodlad leads the psychological therapies team. He lectures at the post-graduate level in Addiction Studies and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. David was responsible for the design of the national counsellor accreditation system for the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counsellors (FDAP). He has helped establish and develop numerous private rehabilitation centres both in the UK and abroad. He holds an international accreditation as an addictions counsellor (ICADC) and is a supervisor of counselling teams. He keeps a small private practice in Kent.

Sasha Titus, MBPsS, reg FDAP SASSI is Operations Manager
Sasha has worked for Triage Healthcare since 2007 and holds qualifications in Psychology and Leadership for Health & Social Care. Sasha has an impressive understanding of how treatment works and how to get it to work for the individual. She is well versed in both NHS and private case management procedures. Sasha conducts assessments and manages the overall performance of the Triage staff team.

As an ex Priory and Manor Director David brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. David is the Senior Counsellor and Community Care Coordinator for DryOutNow. He conducts home assessments and visits, telephone assessments and face to face interventions.
Helen Logan, MA, MBACP (Accred)
With over 20 years counselling experience Helen conducts face to face interventions and counselling. Helen has had an extremely varied career working in a variety of settings including healthcare services, media organisations, and charitable agencies. For 12 years Helen was the ‘behind the scenes’ psychotherapist on ‘This Morning’, a television programme on ITV. Helen also trains other therapists in telephone counselling skills and leads training seminars in domestic violence, addiction and stress management.

Ms Parry is the most experienced member of our psychotherapy and interventions team. Mrs Parry was the lead at the busiest addiction treatment clinic in the UK. She has taught, trained, counselled, intervened and lectured on almost every subject to do with addiction. We are very proud to count her amongst our team.
Louise Rooney, MBACP, Dip. Couns, AIP Cert Ed Dip Ed
Louise is a highly experienced and trusted addictions counsellor who provides face to face counselling and home visits. Louise works in the field of addiction and with survivors of childhood abuse. She has a particular interest and specialism in areas surrounding Co-dependency having written a number of articles about enmeshed relationships and loss of self.
Mrs Tracy Penfold, BSc (Hons) Business Management
Tracy is Client Coordinator at Triage Healthcare. Tracy holds a First Class Honours degree in Business Management as well as professional experience in Social Work, Children’s Services and Educational settings. Tracy’s role involves managing private, insurance and statutory funding streams for Triage Healthcare.
Stanley Kulewicz, author of the ‘Twelve Core Functions of a Counselor’
Stanley is the academic and technical advisor to David Goodlad and the Triage Psychological Therapies team. The Twelve Core Functions are the 101 basis for any any addictions counsellor, long recognised by Triage Healthcare and Priory Healthcare.
Our team has a healthy balance of academically trained professionals and qualified professionals ‘who have been there themselves’. By having this mix it definitely prevents a ‘one size fits all’ attitude. We enjoy a combined recovery history of over 150 years, with individual recovery times ranging from 20 to 30+ years This provides us with a unique reservoir of experience from which to draw from.
