Alcohol Treatment and Alcoholism Advice for Alcoholics and their family

Principles

Our aim at Triage Healthcare is to provide you with confidential and reliable advice regarding all areas of addiction. We are staffed by highly experienced and expert professionals in addiction medicine and counselling, who are ethically bound to give you advice according to the latest evidence of what works, and who are not allowed to advise you according to a profit motive. Rather, we will find you the best value treatment given your particular circumstances and wishes.

Process

We understand that there may be concerns regarding treatment, particularly in terms of cost, location and success. That is why we are here. We can advise you on centres running individually tailored programmes. We can help all concerned decide on a comprehensive program that is affordable to your budget. You can telephone to speak with us straight away in confidence or email us with the guarantee of a timely response.

We have a team of counsellors and nurses that are available following the initial assessment with an advisor. Prior to any treatment commencing, we will always make sure that a thorough nursing assessment is completed. It is important to know any background information that may help with the treatment program and our nurses will guide you through this conversation in a professional and reassuring manner.

We can also provide accompanied transfers to treatment centres in some situations. We firmly believe in removing any barriers to successful treatment and so if a chaperone is required for any reason, we can arrange this.

We recognise that rehabilitation is only the first step on the journey to recovery. Therefore, each individual is assigned a Primary Treatment Worker who will be in contact every step of the way. We make regular follow-up calls to monitor progress and provide any support that is needed following treatment.

Triage Healthcare offers an immediate response service. Our helpline is open 7 days a week, and has a 24 hour messaging service which will be responded to by one of our trained advisors as soon as possible should you call out of hours.

Treatment Options

We have an in-depth knowledge of the full range of treatment services and programme options throughout the UK and abroad, and will advise you independently of any particular centre.

Aftercare

Aftercare is a vital part of addiction treatment, which is why it comes as standard as part of the treatment programs we arrange. We understand that the transition from a rehabilitation centre back into the home environment can be challenging. Therefore, we arrange one-to-one counselling in the home location to ensure that the relevant support is always available. This ongoing support is a continuation of the coping mechanisms and relapse prevention strategies learned within a treatment centre.

We also recommend attending the appropriate fellowship meetings, whether it is Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, or Cocaine Anonymous. We can offer information about all of these meetings and provide support for anyone that is not sure what to expect or how the meetings work.

Arranging Treatment

There are a number of different treatments available. It is important that the treatment is tailored to the individual - addiction is different for each person; there is no “one-size-fits-all solution”. In order to find out the treatment that represents the best chance of success for all concerned, call one of our experienced advisors. Our advice is all completely free and confidential.
